Dr. Altemeier has limited space available for elementary school-aged children who are in need of a social skills group in order to learn the necessary skills to make and keep friends. Children with high-functioning autism or Asperger's Disorder are appropriate referrals, as well as children without a diagnosis who need more practice with reciprocal social communication (i.e., back-and-forth conversation). Dr. Altemeier also provides individual therapy to children who suffer from anxiety and adjustment disorders.
